Who we are

Pip's Learning Games (“we”, “us”) is a free, independent UK education website at freeexamprep.co.uk. It has two parts: Play (learning games for Reception to Year 6) and the 11+ Exam Zone (practice questions and mock exams). You can reach us at hello@freeexamprep.co.uk.

The kids' games (Play)

We have designed the games so that we hold no information about children at all.

Stars, stickers and settings (such as sound on or off) are stored in your browser's local storage on the device being used. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. A grown-up can clear them at any time with the “Clear my stars and stickers” button in the sticker book, or by clearing the site's data in the browser.

• No accounts, log-ins, chat, comments or forms.
• No adverts and no advertising or tracking cookies in the games.
• The game pages load everything from our own site. They do not use Google Fonts, analytics, or other outside services.
• Sounds are made on the device. The optional read-aloud button uses the voice built into the device or browser; on some devices that voice is provided by the browser maker.

The 11+ Exam Zone

The practice and mock exam pages work without an account too. Your answers on these pages stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

These pages are different from the games: they show adverts from Google AdSense, which means your device's IP address is sent to Google when the page loads. We have asked Google to treat these pages as child-directed, which limits ads to non-personalised ones.

Cookies & advertising

The games use no cookies. The 11+ Exam Zone pages use Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technology to show and measure adverts, and may use them to show adverts based on earlier visits to this and other websites.

You can manage personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We do not place adverts on the games or on the pages children play on.

We do not sell personal data.

Information we collect

We do not run analytics tools on the site. Like any website, our hosting provider (IONOS) keeps standard server logs that can include IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so the site can be run securely. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.

If you email us, we keep your message and email address only so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

Children's privacy

The site is meant to be used by children with a parent, carer or teacher nearby. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, please email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you (for example an email you sent us). Email us to do so. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works, for example by adding a feature that stores information, we will update this page and the date above first.
